The Scottish pop sensation recently took to social media to poke fun at a Netflix billboard promoting his upcoming documentary, ‘Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now.’ Except, it’s not him on the billboard, but an image of a young Liz Truss who is the former UK Prime Minister.

It’s undeniable that this is an incredible marketing move from both Netflix and Lewis Capaldi.
In September 2022, Capaldi responded to a viral trend which was comparing his looks to a young Liz Truss and he wrote, “Why do I look like so many female politicians.”

So, it’s obvious that this should be used in his next big billboard moment… right?
Capaldi, who we all know isn’t one to shy away from a joke, was quick to playfully call out the streaming giant saying, “Ffs whoever is in charge of billboards at Netflix needs firing.”

At a first glance, it seems like a genuine mix-up between Netflix and Lewis Capaldi but those who recognise the link, know that this is an excellent advertising stunt.
We can confidently say that Lewis Capaldi holds the crown (at the moment 😉) for his OOH campaigns and marketing tactics… and he definitely loves a billboard moment doesn’t he!
